Terms of business www.0845couriers.com is part of
G K Services (Cheshire) Limited.
All business undertaken is transacted
subject to the conditions set out below.
1. You (the client) are the owner of the goods
in consignment, or you are authorised by the owner
of the item/s to accept these conditions.
2. You will be provided with a date that we will
guarantee collection and delivery
will take place by. Same or next day deliveries
can be arranged, when possible.
3. If our driver or assistant enter your premises
in order to assist in placing or remove item,
it is on the condition that although great
care will be taken, the company can not be
held responsible for any damage caused.
4. All goods are insured by our goods
in transit insurance. Whilst insurance is avaliable for
a maximum of 25,000.00 you will need to
let us know if the item/s value more than £5,000.00
5. The company shall be relieved of obligations
under this contract if prevented by Act of God,
Fire, Flood, Terrorism, Weather Conditions,
Labour disturbance, Traffic Congestion
or any other causes beyond our control.
6. Your consignment may be cancelled if it does
not match the description given
at the time of booking. You will be responsible
for paying for attempted collection charge.
7. The driver and/or assistant may refuse your
workload due to health and safety reasons,
if this is the case you will have an explanation
as to why, and no charge will be made.
8. The carrier shall make one attempt to deliver the goods
to the delivery address specified by the Customer.
If the goods can not be deivered due to NO fault of the carrier
the Company will have the option either to make a further attempt
to deliver the goods to the address specified by the Customer
or to deliver to any other address specified by the Customer
in either case at the Customer's cost.
The carrier's costs (including storage charges if any) due to the
Customer's neglect or default or lack of instructions shall be paid
by the Customer in addition to the contract price.
EBAY BUYER AND SELLER SPECIFIC TERMS There will usually only be one driver on our van. He will need assistance with delivery for larger items. He is very helpful and obliging and will often assist beyond the kerbside, but he is not obliged to do so. Our insurance does not cover any incident which may take place whilst the driver is providing additional help beyond our van. An extra man can be provided at either the collection or the delivery address for an additional cost of £50.00 or at both ends for £95.00. The service is kerbside. It is not our job to carry goods through awkward passages or up flights of stairs. We do not expect to be asked to assemble or dismantle items. Please inform the seller or buyer of our terms and conditions. They are expected to provide help to get heavy bulky items to or from the kerbside. The seller is responsible for ensuring that their goods are adequately wrapped to survive a long distance van journey. The seller should always wrap upholstered items and mattresses before collection. We cannot accept any responsibility for items getting dirty, marked or scratched if the vendor has made no effort to protect them. Any GLASS must be well packed, padded and protected. It is the responsibility of sellers and buyers to make each other aware of what is expected of the purchased item. We do not check the condition of the goods we are collecting/delivering. Many items are sold in need of restoration and other items are sold as perfect. Our driver will not be aware of the expected condition of an item. We will transport your items with care, and if we are ever responsible for any damage in transit, then we will own up to it. |
